I'm not a huge seller on ebay, but I have sold items in the past & buy quite frequently.  With this new system, I would be affected because I had a couple people leave me retalitory negative feedback!  Here is an article that is well written & lets you know exactly what is going on.

It's a sad day here with the shooting at Westroads mall. I live & work in that area & frequently go to the mall - I was there on Saturday.  I'm just now waiting to see who has died and if I know any of them. Omaha may be a big town, but it is still small enough that you might know someone. In fact, one of the ladies interviewed (you can see her video on msn.com) I do know - her sons go to the same school as Tyler.  She made it out ok, but it makes me wonder if I know more that were effected.
My dh even made the comment that if I had been at my old job, it would have been possible that I was there - since they were laying me off anyway, I was taking 2 hour lunches & I could have been shopping at Westroads at that time!
Please say some prayers for the dead, the survivors and all their family & friends - they'll need it this holiday season.
 

Well, I will be officially employed again starting October 8th & the job is actually in my field! I'll be a buyer at First Data - they process credit cards in a nutshell.
It is funny how things work out - I had decided that I was going to get just a part-time job and go back to school & finish my degree because Buyer positions weren't plentiful here.  I already had a few interviews and figured I'd get what I'd get from the jobs.  God must want me to work full-time though.  I had a second interview  on Monday & Tuesday morning they offered me the job & with more money than my minimum was going to be! 
The only drawbacks are I'm back to working over Christmas, I have to park my car outside, I can't read my email or LiveJournal at work & I won't have the freedom to come and go as I please (like my last job ended up being in the last couple of years).  In short, I'll actually be working like the rest of the world!! LOL   The good things are that we'll have enough money I can get my eyes done next year, they have good benefits, I start out with 3 weeks vacation (so not so bad from my 6 that I had at my old company - I was there 18 years), it is a stable company, and DH may be able to get his Mustang that he wants.

It is 10:30pm & I'm sitting here in a house with no air conditioning - it is 85 degrees in here.  What really sucks is that my hubby went to the cabin, so he isn't here to fix it for us!  I've got the big fan & the ceiling fan going on high in our bedroom. Tyler will definitely be sleeping with me tonight.  Of course, it is still 81 degrees outside with the humidity at 79% so that doesn't help.

My sister, ligia_elena & I have gotten our numbers from Borders - & we'll be 24th & 25th in line to get our books at midnight!!!!!  I'm so excited!!!!! I'm planning on dressing up in my hot pink wig & cape! I'll post pics tomorrow!

I arrived at Border's at 7:30 this morning to line up for the numbers! There were 2 guys that had spent the night. I was about 12th in line.  By the time it was 9am, the line went around the side of the building & when we left (about 9:20am - chatting & peeing break!! LOL), it was still wrapped around the  side of the building. I'm glad I got there as early as I did!!

My sis is supposed to arrive here around 1pm & we are going to go see Order of the Phoenix to start our evening!
